New Piko item for 2024: The electric locomotive BR 101 in the attractive design "Ecophant" of DB AG in Era VI. During the implementation of the 101 series on a scale of 1:160, PIKO perfectly matched the external design of the three-phase locomotive. Details such as the single-styl DSA 350 pantographs have been reproduced in filigree. The sharply engraved bogies behind the low-drawn aprons round off the optical impression of the locomotive excellently. A powerful mid-engine provides propulsion in the model. Two brass flywheels on the motor shaft create excellent synchronisation. For good traction, the locomotive also has two diagonally arranged wheels, which are covered with traction tires. Thanks to the modern Next18 interface, a digital decoder can be retrofitted in no time. In addition to the top lighting in LED technology, the model also has a digitally switchable driver's cab lighting.
