Prototype: 2 boxcars and 1 caboose painted and lettered for the Union Pacific Railroad (U.P.). Special versions as work cars for maintaining track work ("maintenance of way"). Use: Inspection and maintenance work on the U.P. network.

Model: Era III, the car floors are made of metal. The boxcars have sliding doors that can be opened. The caboose has interior details and end platforms. The roof walkways, ladders, brake system and other details are separately applied. The cars have detailed trucks with RP 25 wheel sets. The cars have NEM coupler pockets, a close coupler mechanism, and couplers compatible with the Kadee system. The cars come with different car numbers and are packed individually.
